How to reply to a TikTok comment with a video
A video reply is a new post attached to that comment, not a line in the thread. Film it, pull one from Drafts, or use a photo / slideshow. Use it when they asked to see something. Do not film eighty restock answers.
Do this in the TikTok app
- Open comments on your own video and tap the comment you want to answer.
- Choose Reply with video (the camera / video control — labels move in the app).
- Record a new clip, or pick an existing video from Drafts or your camera roll.
- Add a short caption if you need one, then post. The new video hangs off that comment.
What “reply with video” actually is
TikTok lets you answer a comment by publishing a new video that is tied to that comment. Viewers can jump from the thread into the reply. That is different from typing under the comment. It is also different from ReplyStream, which drafts text you paste yourself.
People search this as “tiktok reply to comment with video,” “how to make tiktok comment reply video,” and “reply to comment with existing video.” Same feature. One path in the app.
Reply with a video from Drafts or an existing clip
You do not have to record in that moment. After Reply with video, look for Drafts or upload — that is “tiktok reply to comment with video from drafts” and “with existing video.” Use a clip you already shot if it answers the question. Do not stitch a random draft just to look active.
“Draft” here means TikTok’s unpublished videos in the app. ReplyStream drafts are text reply options for the same comment. Two different drawers. If you only need a sentence, stay in the text box.
Photo, slideshow, and “video generator”
Reply with photo or a photo slideshow (carousel) is the same idea: attach a new post to the comment when a still is the answer (the fabric, the size chart, the parcel). TikTok’s controls sit next to Reply with video — including on iPhone. Use them when a clip would be slower than a picture.
There is no honest “tiktok reply to comment with video generator” that should auto-post a clip for every comment. Generated filler videos look like spam. If you want help writing the caption on a reply video you actually filmed, that is a caption draft — still you posting. ReplyStream does not generate or post reply videos.
Video reply vs text reply
| The comment is… | Better as | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Show me / try it on / how it looks | Video, photo, or slideshow | They asked to see it |
| You already filmed the answer | Video from Drafts | Don’t reshoot; attach the clip |
| Size, shipping, restock, “is this in XL?” | Text | They need a fact. Check stock, then send |
| The same question, fifty times | One pinned text reply | You cannot film fifty reply videos |
How do I reply to a TikTok comment with a video?
On your own video, open comments, tap the comment, choose Reply with video, then record or pick a clip. Post. The new video is attached to that comment. Same path on iPhone; the camera / Drafts controls sit in that composer.
Can I reply to a comment with a video from Drafts?
Yes. Reply with video, then choose Drafts or upload instead of recording. That is an existing clip, not a new shoot.
Can you reply to a TikTok comment with photos or a carousel?
Yes, where TikTok shows photo or slideshow next to Reply with video. A carousel is that slideshow. You still post it yourself.
Did TikTok remove the ability to reply to a comment with a video?
Not as a product. The control hides for some accounts, app versions, regions, or when commenting is limited. Update the app, check the video’s comment settings, then see the troubleshooting guide if the option still is missing.
Why can’t I reply to comments with videos on TikTok?
The Reply with video control is not on every comment, every account, or every build. It is a TikTok feature flag, not something ReplyStream turns on. Use a text reply, or a photo where that control exists.
Is there a TikTok comment reply video generator?
Not from ReplyStream. We do not generate or post reply videos. For buying questions, draft a text reply and send it from your account.
